This past weekend a couple of girlfriends and I went to see the movie “No Strings Attached” with Natalie Portman, Ashton Kutcher, Kevin Kline and a host of other good actors. It was a very entertaining journey of boy meets girl, boy wants girl, and – finally – boy gets girl.
I enjoyed the reverse psychology of the reluctance to commit residing in Emma (Natalie Portman) and Adam (Ashton Kutcher) pondering that proverbial thought “she loves me, she loves me not?” Even though the outcome was predictable, the obstacles encountered by the couple were refreshingly “fresh” and had me laughing out loud.
Natalie and Ashton were great as Emma and Adam. Kevin Kline was hilarious as Adam’s lecherous father and was the guy you loved to hate. Chris “Ludacris” Bridges (Wallace) and Jake Johnson (Eli) were the comic supporting friends that tried to keep Adam from falling into the love pit.
Overall, this was an enjoyable movie for a “girl’s night out” and I highly recommend that you put it on your movie list.
